Freshman College Composition CLEP Test Description This test is offered in two different formats. One format requires an essay, the other does not. When you take the essay, you will respond to two different essay topics. You will have 45 minutes for each essay. The essay is still done via paper and pencil so you will not find out your score immediately following the test. The essays are usually graded by professors at your own university. If you do not take the essay format, you will have 90 minutes to answer 90 questions. As always, they will include some pretest questions which are not scored and will not effect your grade. You will need to be able to improve sentences, restructure sentences, and identify sentence errors.
