INTRODUCTORY SOCIOLOGY

Introductory Sociology CLEP Test Description
The Introductory Sociology CLEP test covers the information that is taught in one semester introductory course at the college level in sociology. It covers all the different social institutions such as educational, religious, political, family, economic and medical.

Introductory Sociology is a very interesting subject for students to take. The test builds on information that you have already learned through your life experiences and what is being talked about in the news or other political arenas. You will study social patterns, demographics and ecology. Status, gender roles, class mobility, and social stratification will also be covered.

You will be tested on research design, how experiments work, different types of research, surveys, longitudinal research, etc. You'll also need to know case studies and all about test taking.

It is important to understand that you do not have to answer each and every question correct to get a passing score. You need to get 50 of 100 correct (in most cases) to pass. The people the write the CLEP tests want you to know about half of the information to get a passing score.
